G S Engineering Works

I run G S Engineering Works out of Mig 145 in Dabauli West. It’s more of a workshop than a proper office. There’s always the smell of grease and burnt metal in the air here. I’ve got my tools spread out across the benches and the floor is usually covered in metal filings. It’s definitely not a place for clean clothes. Most of the work is repair and small fabrication jobs for people in the neighborhood. Dabauli West is a busy area, lots of houses and small shops like mine. People bring in broken parts and I see what I can do to fix them. Sometimes I’m working late under a single light bulb when a job is urgent. It’s just me and the machines most of the time. I don’t have a secretary or anyone to answer the phone for me. If I’m busy with the welder, I might miss a call or two. The walls are stained from years of work and the roof leaks a little when it rains hard. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for a long time now. Everyone knows the sound of the grinder coming from my place in the afternoon. It’s honest work. I don’t use any fancy software, just a ruler and some chalk on the floor. The bench is heavy oak and has been here since I started out. It’s a simple setup for someone who likes building things with their own hands.
