Our place is at No. 109 5 in the Commerce Centre at Chunniganj. Being near the Grand Trunk Road means there is a constant rumble of heavy trucks passing by all day long. It is a busy part of Gandhi Gram, and Vinoba Nagar is just a stone's throw away. The workshop itself is where most of the action happens. We have desks covered in papers and blueprints, and the back area is where the heavy engineering stuff goes on. It’s not the cleanest place in the world because of all the iron and grease, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who walk in with specific needs for their projects. Sometimes the power fluctuates, which is a bit of a pain when we are right in the middle of something important. We have a small crew, and everyone just kind of does what needs to be done without much fuss. The office part of the building is a bit cooler than the workshop, so that’s where we go for lunch. It’s a lot of physical labor mixed with some technical thinking. We’ve been at this address for a while, and the neighborhood hasn't changed much, still just as busy as ever. We just keep our heads down and handle the workload that comes through the door each morning. It is a steady, practical way to make a living.
