Super Handloom House

Super Handloom House is located at 88/576 in Prem Nagar, right across from the Gurdwara. It’s a fairly easy spot to find because of the landmark. The shop is filled with all sorts of fabrics and handloom items that we’ve gathered over time. It’s often a bit cramped inside because we try to keep as much stock as possible on the shelves. People from the neighborhood usually walk in after visiting the Gurdwara or while they’re out doing their daily shopping. We’ve been here in Prem Nagar for quite some years. The floor is old, and the shelves are a bit dusty sometimes, but that’s because we’re always moving things around. We don’t really have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. If someone asks for a specific cloth, we usually have to dig through a few piles to find it. It's a loud area with the sounds of the street and the prayers from across the road. We spend a lot of time just folding and unfolding things for people who want to feel the quality of the thread. It’s not a modern showroom with bright lights. We use what we have and keep the doors open for anyone who needs something for their home. We get a lot of regulars who’ve been coming to us since they were kids. It’s just a normal part of the street here.
