Sahi Lazeej Darbar

Our place is called Sahi Lazeej Darbar and you can find us at 202-E in the SBI Building. We are located in Harjinder Nagar, which is quite close to the Harjinder Nagar Chauraha here in Kanpur. This city is always moving and our area is no different. There are people and bikes everywhere you look. We picked this spot because it seemed like a good place to be, especially since we are in the same building as the bank. It means we see a lot of people coming in and out all day. Our shop isn't very big, so things can get a little crowded when the lunch rush starts. We don't have a whole team of workers, just a couple of us doing everything. The kitchen gets really warm in the summer, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t spend money on fancy menus or big signs. We just put all our time into the cooking. Sometimes we have to run out to the local market if we realize we’ve run out of something important like salt or vegetables. It’s a lot of running around, but we manage. Most of the people living in the blocks nearby know us by now and stop in to say hello. We don’t have any big goals, we just show up every morning and do the work. It’s a simple business and we just take it one day at a time.
