Safat Plastic & Cosmetic

Our shop, Safat Plastic & Cosmetic, is located at Plot No.402 in Sitla Bazar. We are right in the Jajmau area, quite near the Madan Atta Chaaki. You can usually hear the sound of the mill running nearby. We sell a bit of everything, from plastic household items to various cosmetics that the local ladies look for. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we have so much stuff crammed onto the shelves. We’ve got glass cases for the lipsticks and creams, and then large stacks of plastic tubs and basins taking up the floor space. It’s a family-run business and we’ve been here for quite some time. My brother and I take turns running the counter. The bazar gets incredibly crowded in the late afternoon, and that’s when we are the busiest. We don't have any polished displays or professional lighting. It’s just basic shelves and a few bright bulbs so people can see what they’re buying. Sometimes we have to run to the next shop to get change for a big bill. We know most of our regular customers by name and we usually spend a few minutes chatting with them. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have a website or any social media pages. If people want to see what we have, they just come down to Sitla Bazar and walk in.
