Pragati Spices Co(P) Ltd.

We are located at 51/53 in Nayaganj, which is a pretty busy part of the city. If you walk down the lane, you can usually smell the spices before you even see our door. Pragati Spices Co(P) Ltd. has been operating out of this spot for quite a while. The building itself is older, with narrow hallways and heavy wooden doors that have been there forever. It’s always crowded outside with carts and people moving bags around, so getting a vehicle close to the entrance is a bit of a challenge most days. Inside, the air is thick with the scent of pepper, turmeric, and whatever else we are moving that day. We have a few rooms for storage and a small area where we handle the billing and paperwork. It’s a bit cramped, honestly, but we’ve learned how to move around each other without bumping into things. The staff is used to the noise from the market outside. We don’t have fancy air conditioning in the warehouse part, just the overhead fans that keep the air moving. It’s a traditional way of doing business, and we’ve stuck with it because it works. We know our neighbors well, and there’s a lot of shouting back and forth across the street. It’s a lively place to be, and there's never a dull moment from morning until we lock up the shutters at night.
