DELUXO ENGG. WORKS

Our place is the Deluxo Building at 107/221 in Nehru Nagar. It’s a sturdy building that has seen a lot of years. Down here at DELUXO ENGG. WORKS, we are mostly focused on the mechanical side of things. The workshop is usually a bit of a mess with bits of iron and different tools scattered across the benches. We don't really have a front desk or anyone to greet you; you just walk in and find one of us working on something. Nehru Nagar is a crowded area, so there’s always something happening outside the door. Inside, the sound of grinding or hammering is pretty common. We’ve got various machines that we use for the engineering jobs that come our way. Sometimes a job is quick, and other times we’re staring at a piece of equipment for hours trying to get it to fit right. The floor is concrete and has stains that have been there for decades. We don’t mind it much. It’s a place for work, not for looking fancy. Most of the people who come to us are regulars from the surrounding area who know the building well. We keep our hours, do the jobs that come in, and keep the machines running. It’s a simple life in an engineering shop, and we’ve gotten used to the smell of oil and the sound of the fans keeping us cool during the afternoons.
