Arch-In-Design

We work out of Ratan Lal Nagar in Kanpur, specifically at number 18. Our office is quite close to the Keseo Station, so we hear the trains fairly often. It’s a regular neighborhood, and our workspace fits right in. We’ve been doing design work here for some time now. The office is a bit of a mix of everything—we have samples of wood, paint chips, and lots of rolled-up drawings. It’s a place where we actually do the work, so it’s not always perfectly clean or tidy. We are a small team, and we’ve all known each other for years. When someone comes in, we just sit down at the main table and start talking about what they need. We don't have a formal reception area or someone to open the door for you. We just do it ourselves. Kanpur is a practical city, and we try to be practical too. We look at the space someone has and try to figure out the best way to use it without wasting any room. We spend our mornings on the computer and our afternoons usually out visiting sites to see how the construction is going. It’s a lot of walking around in the dust sometimes, but that’s the job. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything. We just like to draw and see things get built. If you’re near the station, you can see our small sign at number 18.
