Panki Sukrit Farmer Producer Company Limited is based over in Karar village. If you go to the Panki post office area in the Daltonganj sub division, you can find us. We operate out of Umesh Kumar’s place. It’s a simple setup in a rural area. We don’t have much in the way of fancy signs or big offices. It’s mostly just a room with some chairs where we can sit and go over our records. We spend most of our time out in the fields or meeting with other farmers in the Panki block. It is a lot of work to keep everyone on the same page. Umesh helps manage the day-to-day things that come up. We started this to help the local farming community here. There’s a lot of paperwork that goes into it, which none of us really like, but we do it anyway. The village is quiet most of the time except when it is harvest season. Then everything gets very busy and we are all working late. We don't try to sound like a big company because we aren't. We are just local people trying to make a living from the land. Sometimes things go well and sometimes they don't. We just take it as it comes. If you are in Karar, you might see us around. We’re usually just talking about the crops or the rain. That’s about it for us. We try our best every day.
