7/118 E Swaroop Nagar is a familiar spot for us. It’s where Achintya Organic Research Privatelimited operates from. It’s more of a home-grown setup than a sterile lab. We spend our days looking at plants and trying to understand why some grow better than others without using all those chemicals. It’s quiet work, mostly. We have some basic tools and a lot of notebooks filled with scribbles about soil quality and bug patterns. Swaroop Nagar is a decent place to be based, not too far from everything else. We don’t go in for big advertisements or anything like that. People find out about us by word of mouth or if they’re looking for someone who knows about organic methods. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with pots and dirt samples sitting around the place. We’re not the type to wear suits. Most of us are in old clothes that can get dirty. We don’t promise miracles. Farming is hard and research takes even longer. You try one thing, it fails, you try another. That’s the rhythm of our days. It’s practical work. We’re just trying to find ways for farmers to grow their crops without using up the ground for the next generation. It’s slow, but it feels right to do it this way. We just keep at it every day, hoping to learn something new that actually works in the real world.
