Our company is based in Murlipur, which is under the Post Rar office in the Ghatampur area of Kanpur Nagar. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren't from around these parts. We are a group of farmers who decided to work together to make things a bit easier for everyone. Kanpur Nagar is a big place, but out here in Murlipur, things are much quieter. We grow a variety of things depending on what the season allows. Our days are filled with the usual farming chores—checking the water, looking at the pests, and making sure the storage is dry. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just write down what we have and try to find someone who wants to buy it. The office is usually where we take a break from the heat. It’s got a few tables and a lot of empty sacks piled in the corner. We aren't looking to become some huge national company. We just want to make sure the farmers in Ghatampur can get a decent price for their hard work. It’s a tough business and sometimes the prices drop right when you’re ready to sell. We just stick together and try to figure it out. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s ours and we’re doing the best we can.
