Milkmug Producer Company Limited is a group we started in Village Bilaspur, near the Dudhla post office. Ghasitu Singh is the one who helps manage things from his house. Around here, almost everyone has a few cows or buffalos. We realized that if we all sell our milk separately, we don't have any power to ask for a better price. So, we formed Milkmug. It’s a simple name for a simple business. We are all neighbors. We see each other at the morning milking and when we are out cutting fodder in the fields. Ghasitu is a practical man and he keeps us focused on the day-to-day stuff. We don't have fancy milk processing plants or big refrigerated trucks yet. We just collect what we have and try to get it to the buyers as fast as possible. The life of a dairy farmer is tough because cows don't take holidays. You have to be there every single morning and evening. We talk about the health of the animals and what feed is working best. It’s not a polished corporate environment. It’s just a village group trying to make a bit more from our hard work. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just the most useful one for our local families in Bilaspur.
