Deloitte

Our location is Mig 95 in Sector E of the World Bank colony in Barra, Kanpur. The pincode is 208027. It’s a solid, quiet neighborhood, and our building is a standard MIG house. We’ve turned it into the local base for Deloitte. There is a small garden area in the front, though we haven't been very good at keeping the plants alive lately. Inside, the rooms are divided up for different parts of our work. One room is mostly full of old ledgers and files, while the other has our computers and a printer that jams whenever we are in a hurry. The power in Barra can be a bit hit or miss, so we have a backup system that kicks in and makes a loud beep. We are used to it by now. Working from a colony like Sector E means we are away from the main noise of Kanpur, which is a relief. The house has big windows that let in a lot of dust, so we are constantly wiping down our screens. It’s a very practical, down-to-earth environment. We don't have any corporate logos on the walls or fancy furniture. It’s just us, our desks, and a lot of work to get through. Most of the neighbors know us as the quiet folks in Mig 95 who stay late with the lights on and mostly keep to themselves.
