Dakshinanchal Kala Namak Farmer Producer Company Limited

We operate out of House Number 218 at Sheo Shankar’s place, Prabhawati Kunj, right on the Bypass Road in Kalyanpur. Our main focus is Kala Namak rice, which is a special thing around here. A lot of us have been growing it for years, and we decided it was time to join up as a producer company. It makes things simpler when we need to buy supplies or find buyers. We aren't big-city business people. Most of us are more comfortable in the fields than in an office. The bypass road stays pretty busy, but once you step into our workspace, it’s all about the rice. We spend a lot of time discussing the quality of the grains and how the weather is affecting the paddies. It’s a lot of work to keep things going, especially with all the rules and regulations these days. We just do our best to follow along. It’s an honest living. We share what we have and help each other out when the harvest gets heavy. There’s no corporate polish here, just plain talk and hard work. We’re proud of what we grow and how we do it. If you come by Kalyanpur, you’ll likely find Sheo Shankar or one of the other members around. We’re just a group of farmers trying to keep our traditions alive while making a bit of profit. It is not always easy, but we manage by sticking together through the tough seasons.
