Csc Kachhauna Kisan Producer Company Limited is based out of Gosvabaradhuman Kachauna. We operate from Dharmendra Kumar’s place. It isn't a big office or anything fancy, just a room where we get together to talk about the crops and what needs doing next. Most of us here have been farming this land for a long time. We decided to put our names together as a company so we could handle the paperwork and the selling side of things a bit better than doing it all alone. Some days it is just a few of us sitting around with tea, figuring out where to get the seeds from or how to fix a broken tool. It gets dusty in the summer and the roads out here are a bit rough, but we manage to get the work done. Dharmendra usually keeps the books and makes sure we don't lose track of who brought what. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation. We just want to make sure the families here in Kachauna can get a fair price for the grain. It's hard work, waking up before the sun and staying out until dark, but that is just how life is here. We focus on the practical things like making sure the bags are stacked right and the trucks come on time. Sometimes the rain messes up the schedule, but we just wait it out and start again the next day.
