Chhatreshwari Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our company is called Chhatreshwari Farmer Producer Company Limited and we are based out of Bilhaur in Kanpur Nagar. Specifically, we are over in Moh-Subhashnagar at the home of Kshatraveer Singh’s wife. It is a simple setup because we would rather spend our time in the fields than sitting in a fancy office. Kanpur is a big place with lots of industry, but out here in Bilhaur, it is all about the farming. We have a lot of farmers who are part of this group now. We all live around here and have known each other for a long time. The idea was just to help each other out with things like buying seeds or selling what we grow together. We don't have a lot of big talk or marketing stuff. Most of our meetings happen sitting on a porch or under a tree. We talk about the crops and the pests and how the market is doing in the city. Sometimes it is stressful when the rains don't come on time, but being in a group makes it feel a little easier to handle. We are just honest people doing manual labor every day. The office is just a place to keep the books and meet up when we need to sign something or check our totals. It is a real local effort and we are just trying to get by and keep things going for our families and the community.
