Bilhaur Krishak Producer Company Limited is based out of Biharipur, in the Gadhi area of Kanpur Nagar. If you’re looking for the office, it’s actually at Sarvesh Kumar’s place, House Number 32. We don’t have a big sign outside or a fancy glass front. It’s just a house where we all meet up to discuss the farming business. Being in a place like Kanpur Nagar, we are surrounded by people who understand the value of hard work. We started this producer company because we wanted to do things our own way, without waiting for big outsiders to help. It’s mostly just us sitting around a wooden table, looking at the accounts and talking to the local growers. The village life is busy, and there’s always something needing attention, whether it’s the weather or the price of seeds. We don’t use any corporate jargon here. We just speak the local way and try to make sure everyone is treated fair. The rooms are simple, with maybe a calendar on the wall and some old chairs.
