Irinave Up School

Irinave Up School is tucked away on the Mavinkeel Payyattam Road in Irinave. If you are driving through Payyattam, you can’t really miss the gate. We have been here in this part of Kannur for years, serving the families who live nearby. It’s an upper primary school, so the kids are a bit older and a lot louder than the little ones. The building is pretty standard for this area, nothing too modern, just solid walls and benches that have been around for a while. Usually, the day starts with the bell ringing and everyone rushing to get inside before the gates close. Our staff is just a bunch of regular people who live around here and want to see these kids get through their middle school years. The playground isn't massive, but it's enough for a quick game of football or whatever else they play these days. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to get through the road, but the kids always find a way to show up. We don't spend a lot of time talking about big goals or anything like that. We just focus on getting through the lessons and making sure the students are safe until their parents pick them up or they walk home. It’s a simple life here in Irinave, and the school is just one part of the neighborhood that keeps things moving along every weekday.
