It is just a local school where the kids from the area come to spend their day. The mornings are usually the loudest time when everyone is arriving and the parents are dropping them off. We have the usual setup of desks and chalkboards. It is not a high-tech place but it gets the job done for the community. We have a small playground and some trees that provide a bit of shade when it is sunny. The staff is mostly people who live nearby so there is a lot of chatting about local news in the staff room. We do not really do much in the way of promotion. People know we are here and they bring their children over when they are old enough. Sometimes we have to fix a window or repaint a wall especially after the heavy rains. It is just an honest working school. We worry about the same things every day like making sure the kids are learning their lessons and staying out of trouble. Thalassery is a nice area and Kuthuparamba has a good community feel to it. We just try to be a steady part of that. There is no big secret to how we run things we just show up and do the work day after day for the students.
