De Paul College

Down in Edathotty, right near Iritty, you’ll find De Paul College. We are situated in the Kannur district with the 670703 pin code. The college isn't one of those high-rise buildings you see in the big cities; it’s a more spread-out place that fits into the local landscape. We spend our days making sure the lectures happen on time and that the students have what they need for their studies. It can be quite a task keeping everything running, from the library shelves to the benches in the common area. The weather here in Kannur can get pretty humid, so we appreciate the breeze when it comes through the windows. Most of the students travel in from nearby towns using the local buses, which can be a bit unreliable at times. We have a small office staff that handles the mountains of paperwork that come with running a college. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The campus has a lot of trees, which helps keep things a bit cooler during the afternoon heat. We don’t really go for fancy slogans or big marketing campaigns. People in Iritty and Edathotty know us as a practical place for the local youth to get their degrees. We’re just a group of people working together to keep the doors open and the classes moving forward every semester. It’s a busy life, but we’re used to it by now.
