Sinthayai Krish-E is based in Ningthoukhong, specifically around Ward Number 14. We are near the electrical sub-division, which is a good landmark for people coming to see us. Oinam Mangi Singh looks after the place. We are a farmer producer company, which is just a fancy way of saying a group of us are working together. We have been farming in this part of Bishnupur for a long time. The land here is decent if you put in the effort. We grow a variety of things and we try to keep our methods simple. It’s not a high-tech operation. We still rely on our hands and basic tools for most of the work. We started this company because it’s easier to buy things in bulk and sell our produce when we are a group. It’s mostly about helping each other out. We meet up at the house to talk about the weather or the price of fertilizers. It’s a very local thing. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or polished ads. We just want to farm our land and make a decent living. Some days are harder than others, especially when the monsoon is too heavy, but we just deal with it. It’s just us, a bunch of local farmers in Ningthoukhong, doing what we’ve always done but just a bit more together now.
