Our spot is out at Plot No.15 in Neervallur Village, near Enathur. It is a bit of a drive to get out here, but it is quieter than being right in the middle of a big city. We spend most of our days dealing with concrete, steel, and a lot of mud when it rains. The site is usually busy with people moving around and machines making noise. It’s not a clean job, and most of us end the day with dust on our clothes and boots. We’ve got a small office trailer where we keep the blueprints and coffee, but most of the real work happens outside under the sun. Sometimes the weather doesn't play nice and we have to wait for the rain to stop before we can get back to the foundations. Dealing with suppliers and making sure the trucks can find the village road is a big part of what we do every morning. It’s a lot of coordination between the guys on the ground and the people bringing in the materials. We don't really do much fancy talking here. We just focus on the tasks for the day and try to get things done before the sun goes down. The village is a nice place to work, even if the commute is long for some of us. It feels good to see something being built from nothing on a patch of land. We just take it one day at a time.
