Over at Plot No. 3367 in Phase-4 of the Gidc Estate, you will find Regal Plastic Industries. We moved to this phase a while back to get a bit more room. The estate is quite large, and Phase-4 has its own rhythm. We deal with plastics, so there is usually the smell of melting resin in the air near our unit. It’s a very functional space. We have the molding machines lined up, and they run for most of the day. It gets pretty loud, so we have to shout sometimes to hear each other. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures. It’s just us. We spend our time checking the plastic parts and making sure the machines don’t overheat. The office is just a corner of the building partitioned off with some plywood. We have an old computer and a few chairs for when someone visits. It’s a very grounded way to work. We’ve had some good years and some tough years at Plot No. 3367, but we are still standing. We don't make any big promises; we just try to be reliable. It’s a local business run by local people who know the plastic trade inside and out. We close the gates around seven and start again the next morning. Most of our regular customers just call us on the mobile when they need something.
