Arvin Plastic

Arvin Plastic is based in Plot No. 3056 over in Phase-3 of the Gidc. It is a bit of a trek from the main gate, but it is quieter back here. We deal with plastic materials and the machines run almost all day long. You can usually hear the hum of the motors before you even walk through the door. There is always that specific smell of warm plastic in the air, which we don't even notice anymore. We spend a lot of time checking the molds and making sure the cooling water is flowing right. Some days are slow and we just do maintenance on the equipment to keep things from breaking down. Other days we are rushing to finish a big batch of items. We have a small crew and everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing. There are piles of raw material bags stacked up in the corner near the loading dock. It gets quite bright in here during the midday because of the high windows. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here in Phase-3 and they bring their requirements to us. We keep a pot of water for anyone who walks in feeling thirsty from the heat. It is just a basic plastic works where we focus on getting the shapes right and moving the product out.
