Sanjeevini Mahila Kisan Producer Company

We are the Sanjeevini Mahila Kisan Producer Company, and we are right opposite the Neelkanteswara Temple on the Main Road in Mudhol. Being in Sedam Taluk, Kalaburagi, it gets very hot here. This is a company run by women farmers. We started this because we wanted to have more control over our own work and lives. We meet near the temple to discuss our plans. It’s not a fancy office, just a place on the main road. We talk about the black soil and what will grow in it. We deal with the heat and the dust every day. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We are mothers and sisters who also happen to be farmers. We handle the planting, the harvesting, and now the business side of things too. It's a lot to take on, but we are doing it. We don't have any corporate training. We just learn as we go. Some days we make mistakes, but we fix them and keep going. We are just trying to make a better life for our kids in Sedam. It's honest work and we are proud of it in our own quiet way. The sun is hard on the crops and on us too, but we don't complain much. We just show up and do what needs doing to make sure the harvest gets processed and sold. It is our way of helping the community grow.
