Badadal Farmers Producer Company Limited

You can find us out in Badadal, which is part of the Afzalpur taluk. We operate out of Sidramappa Dhundappa’s place, and it’s a local operation through and through. We are a farmer producer group, so our whole day is usually spent thinking about crops and how to get them to the right markets. It gets very dry out here sometimes, so water and irrigation are always on our minds no matter what else is happening. We aren't some big city firm with hundreds of employees. Most of us grew up right here in the village and have lived here our whole lives. We started this company because we wanted to have a bit more control over how our produce is handled once it leaves the field. It involves a lot of sitting around the table and talking about prices and how to arrange transport. The office is really just a room in the house where we keep our files and meet up with people. We don't wear suits or anything professional like that. You’ll usually find us in our regular clothes, maybe even with some mud on our boots if we’ve just come back from the fields. It’s a practical way to live and work. We don't make promises we can't keep. We just work together and try to make sure the farmers in the Badadal area get a decent shake when they sell their harvest. Life in Afzalpur is quiet but the work never really stops for us. It is just the way it is.
