You can find us at number 441 in Chand Wali Gali. It is in the Ramesha Patti area of Village Pai. Kaithal is where we belong. We are just a group of local farmers who decided to pool our resources under the name Kaithal Kisan Bharti Farmers Producer Company Limited. The office is right in the middle of the village life. You can hear children playing and the shopkeepers calling out to people while we work. It is a very busy street. We don't have a lot of space, but we make it work. There are stacks of paper everywhere and the walls could use a new coat of paint. We aren't trying to impress anyone with how the place looks. We are more concerned with the quality of the grain and making sure everyone gets their fair share. Some days we stay late to finish the accounts. Other days we close early if there is a festival or a wedding in the village. It is a flexible way of working. We don't have any formal rules or big mission statements. We just try to be fair and do right by our neighbors. The elders in the village often come by to give us advice. We listen because they have seen more harvests than we have. It is a slow process, but we are patient.
