We are based in Cheeka, which is part of the Kaithal district in Haryana. Our setup is called Cheeka Vegetable Farmer Producer Companylimited and you can find us at house number 74 in ward number 6. It’s a local operation through and through. We spend most of our time dealing with vegetables and the people who grow them. It’s honest work but it can be really tiring. The mornings start early because that’s just how it is with produce. We don't have any fancy corporate headquarters. It’s just a modest building in a regular street where we handle the business side of things. There are always crates and talk of market prices and what’s growing well this season. Sometimes the harvest is great and sometimes it’s a struggle with the rain or the heat. We try to keep a level head about it all. The people around here know us and we know them. It’s not about being some high-end brand. We just want to get the vegetables where they need to go and make sure things stay fair. We have a lot of conversations over tea about how to improve things even just a little bit. It’s a practical life and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is.
