Trimbika Exports. We operate out of Jasuben Manji’s house. This is on Shivparas Road in Navavas. It’s a part of Sukhpar, which is near Bhuj in the Kutch area. The landscape here is dry and dusty. Our office is just a regular house. You can see the white walls from the road. We handle exports from here. It involves a lot of talking to transporters and checking bags or boxes. The courtyard is where most of the packing happens. It’s better to work out there when there is a breeze. Kutch is known for its heat. We have to start very early before the sun gets too high. By noon, everything slows down. We sit inside and drink cold water. The house has been in the family for a long time. We use the front rooms for the business stuff. There are always stacks of items waiting to be sent out. Navavas is a small place. Everyone knows when a truck is coming to pick something up. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know us by word of mouth. It’s a slow pace of life but the work gets done. We check everything ourselves to make sure it is right. It’s a lot of walking back and forth. The road outside is bumpy and the trucks make a lot of noise. We like it here because it’s home. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We just do our work.
