We are out in Kattedan at Plot No 35D in the Ida area. It’s an industrial zone, so there are a lot of trucks and factories around us. Shrinath Rotopack Pvt Ltd is the name on the gate. We have a big shed where the machines run. It is quite noisy when everything is turned on. You can hear the hum of the rollers from the street. We deal with a lot of plastic film and printing inks. The smell of the solvent is pretty strong inside the plant. We have rolls of material stacked up high in the corners. It is not a place for fancy clothes because you are likely to get a bit of ink or dust on you. Our office is just a small partitioned area in the front. We spend our time checking the print quality and making sure the machines are fed. It’s a gritty kind of environment, but it is where we work every day. The sun beats down on the metal roof in the summer, making it quite warm inside. We have a few desks for the billing and the schedules. We do not do much marketing or anything like that. We just focus on getting the packaging out to the customers. It is a lot of heavy lifting and keeping the lines moving. The guys in the back know the machines inside out.
