Manikanta Plastic Industries

Our place is Shed No. 66 in Phase II of the IDA Cherlapally area. If you’ve ever been to Cherlapally, you know it’s a proper industrial zone. It’s loud, it’s dusty, and there’s always a truck or a forklift moving somewhere nearby. Inside the shed, we have our machines set up for the plastic work. It’s not a quiet office job; it’s mostly manual work and keeping an eye on the production lines. Manikanta Plastic Industries has been running out of this shed for a while now. The roof is high, which helps with the heat, but it still gets quite stuffy in the middle of summer. We wear our work clothes and don't worry too much about getting a bit of grease on our hands. Most of our day is spent making sure the machines are running right and the raw materials are coming in on time. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. There’s a small desk where we handle the invoices and the phone calls, but most of the action happens out on the floor. The workers are local guys who know the machines inside out. We just try to get the orders filled and loaded onto the trucks without any delays. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. By the time the shift ends, we’re all pretty tired, but the job gets done and that is what matters to us.
