It’s a busy little area with the school kids running around, but we stay focused on our farming tasks. This group was put together because we all had the same problems with getting seeds and selling our produce. We figured if we did it as a company, we might have a better chance. We don’t spend much time in an office; most of our meetings happen over a cup of tea or while we're standing by the tractors. It’s a very local thing, just neighbors helping neighbors. We grow what the land allows and hope for the best with the weather. Some years are better than others, that's just farming for you. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just know how to plant, weed, and harvest. Everyone in the group puts in their share of the work. It’s not always easy, and there are plenty of long days, but it feels right to be working for ourselves this way. If you come by, you’ll see us working the fields or loading up trucks. It’s a straightforward life, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
