Raj University

You can find us near the Old City Kotwali in Navchokia, Jodhpur. Raj University is situated right in this historic part of the city. Being in Rajasthan, it gets quite hot in the summer months, which affects how we go about our day. The buildings are older and have that traditional feel you find around Jodhpur. We deal with a lot of administrative work and student issues every day. It's a busy place with people coming and going from the Kotwali area. We aren't a massive campus like you might find in the bigger cities, but we have our place here in the local community. Many of our staff have been around for years and know the old city streets like the back of their hands. Navchokia is a specific kind of place with a lot of character. We try to maintain the facilities as best we can, though old buildings always need something fixed. It’s not a polished corporate office. It’s a place of learning that feels like it belongs to the city. We have classrooms and offices tucked away in these narrow streets. Sometimes it’s a bit of a maze for new people. We just keep things moving, handling registrations and lectures as they come. It’s a part of the daily life here in the (Raj) region. It's quite a change from the modern buildings you see elsewhere.
