Mayur Craft

Our workshop is at Plot No. 196 on Pal Road in Jodhpur. We are right near the Jodhpur Engineering College, so we see a lot of students walking by every day. Pal Road is a major road, so it stays pretty busy with cars and bikes. We make various crafts here at Mayur Craft. It is a messy job sometimes with all the materials we use. We have been at this plot for quite a while now. The space is filled with tools and unfinished projects. Jodhpur is a city with a lot of history in crafts, and we just try to keep that going in our own way. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our work is done in the back where it is a bit cooler. The heat in Jodhpur can be really intense, so we try to get the heavy work done early in the morning. Sometimes the college students stop in to see what we are making. We just give them a look around and go back to our work. It is a simple life, making things with our hands. We don't use any big machines or anything like that. Each piece takes as long as it takes. We are just local people doing what we know how to do on Pal Road.
