Govt. Adarsh Sr. Sec. School

Govt. Adarsh Sr. Sec. School is tucked away in Canal Colony, right near the Multaniya Bridge. If you know the bridge, you know exactly where we are located. It is a government school, so things are pretty straightforward here. We have the big gates and the long corridors that always seem to need a bit more light than they have. Being near the canal means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes, which really helps when the fans are running slow on those hot afternoons. The mornings are always a bit of a rush with students coming in from all the nearby blocks. We spend a lot of time on paperwork and making sure the registers are filled out correctly, as that is just how things work in a place like this. The desks are older and have names carved into them from years ago. We do not have a lot of bells and whistles, just the basic stuff you need for teaching and learning. The playground is mostly dirt, but the kids do not seem to mind when they are playing during the break. You can hear the traffic from the bridge if you listen close enough, but mostly it is just the sound of voices from the different rooms. Our staff has seen a lot of changes in the colony over the decades. We just keep showing up, unlocking the doors, and getting through the syllabus before the final bell rings in the afternoon. It is steady work.
