Balsamand Kisan Producer Company Limited is located right near the Panchayat Bhawan in Balsamand. It’s a convenient spot because everyone passes by there eventually. We are a bunch of local farmers who felt that we needed a formal way to work together. Farming around here has its ups and downs, and having this company helps us stay a bit more organized. We don’t use any big words or have complicated rules. We just get together and talk about what we need for the next season. Whether it’s fertilizer or getting a better deal at the mandi, we try to handle it as a group. Being near the Panchayat Bhawan means we are right in the heart of the village activity. You can usually find one of us hanging around there during the day. We don't have a lot of office staff. Mostly, it’s just the members doing the work themselves. It gets busy during harvest time, and sometimes the office work gets a bit behind, but we catch up eventually. We are just trying to make sure the farmers in Balsamand get a fair shake. It’s not always easy, and there are days when nothing seems to go right, but that’s just how it is. We’ve been living here and working these lands for a long time, so we just keep going. It is not always pretty, but it is real work that needs doing every single day.
