Abhishek Masale

Abhishek Masale is situated in Beadon Pura, right in the New Bhaji Mandi area near Shanti Nagar. Being in a Bhaji Mandi means we are surrounded by vegetables and fruit sellers all day long. It is a very lively place with a lot of shouting and people bartering for better prices. We have our little spot here where we focus on masales. The air is always full of different scents, some sharp and some sweet. We aren't a big company with fancy labels; we are just local folks working in the market. Beadon Pura is a tight-knit place, and most of the other shopkeepers are our friends. We spend the day weighing out powders and chatting with the people who come in from Shanti Nagar to do their weekly shopping. The shop is a bit cramped because we have so many bags piled up, but we know where everything is. It is a bit messy sometimes, but that is what happens when you are busy in a market. We don't have an office or a computer to track things; we mostly just use a notebook and a pen. It is an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. We stay open as long as the Mandi is active and people are still looking for ingredients. It is hard work being on your feet all day, but we like the energy of the New Bhaji Mandi.
