We’ve been running classes here for a long time now. It’s mostly just a few rooms where we gather to go over science and other subjects. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We aren't trying to be a big institution or anything like that. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out the local students. Most of the kids come from the surrounding houses. We spend a lot of time sitting and going through textbooks together. The rooms are a bit plain, but they are fine for studying. You can hear the sounds of the police station nearby sometimes, but it’s mostly just background noise. I usually have my tea while waiting for the next group to arrive. We don't have any high-tech equipment, just the basics. It’s a simple life. We see the kids grow up and move on to college. It’s nice to be part of that. The routine is the same every day. We open up in the afternoon and stay until the last student leaves in the evening. There’s no big secret to how we work. We just show up and do the teaching that needs to be done. It’s a local business through and through.
