Over in Jamnagar, at A-47 GIDC-1 in Shankar Tekri, you’ll find our workshop. It’s right in the heart of Udyognagar, which means the whole area is filled with the sound of metal hitting metal. We’ve been here at Ankit Industries for years, and the walls have the grime to prove it. Most of our day is spent around lathes and heavy machinery. It’s greasy work, and you can’t really help getting oil on your hands within five minutes of starting a shift. The heat in the GIDC can be something else, especially when all the machines are running full tilt. We don’t have any polished floors or air-conditioned waiting rooms. It’s just a solid roof, some sturdy machines, and a crew that knows how to run them. We mostly deal with small parts and industrial components that people need for their own businesses. There’s no manual for everything we do; a lot of it is just passed down from the older guys who have been in Jamnagar their whole lives. We don’t spend money on ads or big signs. If you need something made, you usually just walk in and talk to us. We’ll figure out if we can do it and give you a straight answer without any fluff. That is just how we run things in this part of town and it has worked for years.
