Shree Digvijay Cement Co. Ltd(Mnc-Cimpor Group)

We are part of the Shree Digvijay Cement Co. Ltd operation out in Sikka, Jamnagar. Even though we are part of the larger Cimpor Group now, our daily life here in the D.C.C. Colony feels very local. We are based in Quarter Number F7/48. Living in the company colony means your work and your home life are pretty much tied together. You walk out your front door and you're almost at the office. The environment in Sikka is very industrial, with the plant being the main thing around here. Our office is just a regular room where we handle the administrative side of things for the multinational group. It sounds more complicated than it is. Mostly, we are just keeping track of numbers and making sure the reports get sent where they need to go. The furniture is a bit old, and the floors are easy to clean because of all the dust from the cement works. We don't have a lot of corporate polish here. We just wear our regular clothes and get on with the tasks. People around here are friendly, and we all know each other's families. It’s a small-town atmosphere even with the big company name. We just focus on our specific corner of the business and try to keep things running smoothly without making much of a fuss about it. It’s just how we get through our days.
