Aditya Birla Group Cement Division

Our office is located in Digvijaygram, which is a part of Sikka. We are part of the cement division. The air around here usually has that thin layer of grey dust from the works. It’s just how things are in a place like this. We spend our days in an old building near the Shree Digvijay Cement facility. The windows are usually open to let in a breeze, even if it’s a bit noisy. We handle the logs for the cement being moved out. It involves a lot of manual entries and double-checking lists. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s important for keeping things moving. We eat our lunch together in a small room in the back. Most of the people working here have been around for a long time. We know each other’s families and stories. The road leading to the gate is quite bumpy and has many potholes. We don’t wear fancy clothes, just stuff that can handle a bit of dirt. Sometimes the printer runs out of ink right when we need to finish a report. It’s frustrating, but we manage. We aren’t doing anything big or flashy here. We just make sure the local operations run like they are supposed to. It’s a quiet place except for the machines in the distance. We have gotten used to that sound. It is just part of our daily life now.
