Model Academy

Model Academy is located on DC Road in Jammu. If you know the 180001 area, you probably know where this road is. It’s a central spot and there is always something going on outside our gates. The school has been part of this street for a long time now. The building itself is quite sturdy and has that old-school feel to it. Every morning, the gates open and the students pile in. It’s a bit of a rush at first but things settle down once the bells ring. We have classrooms spread out across the levels. They are simple rooms with big windows that let in the Jammu sun. Sometimes the noise from the traffic on DC Road drifts in, but the students are used to it by now. We spend our days teaching the standard subjects. There is no big mystery to how we work. Teachers talk, students listen and write in their notebooks. We have a playground area where everyone congregates during the lunch break. It can get quite dusty when the wind picks up, but that’s just how it is here. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure everyone gets through the syllabus. It is a no-nonsense kind of place. We aren't trying to be anything other than a school for the local kids. People trust us because we have been here on DC Road through all the changes in the city. The floors are a bit worn down from all the walking, but it is a solid place for learning.
