We are located right in the heart of Rehari Colony here in Jammu. If you walk down the main street of Rehari, you will eventually stumble upon us. Caveer Abacus is a small place where we focus on teaching kids how to use those wooden beads for math. It’s a simple setup. We have some basic classrooms with tables and chairs that have seen better days. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few number charts we put up. It gets quite loud when the kids start clicking the beads all at once. We don’t have a fancy reception area or a coffee machine for parents. Most of the time, parents just wait on the benches outside or come back later. The traffic in Rehari can be a bit of a mess in the evenings, so things get a little chaotic around pick-up time. We’ve been here for a while, and most of the neighbors know us. The power goes out sometimes, and we just open the windows and keep going. It’s not a high-tech center with computers everywhere. It is just about the mental exercise and the practice. We don’t do big advertisements. Most people just hear about us from other parents in the colony. It’s a very local, down-to-earth kind of place. We try to keep things organized, but with so many kids around, it’s always a bit of a scramble. That is just how it is here. We have some small fans that spin on the ceiling to help with the summer heat.
