About Ironart Industries – Metals & Minerals in Jammu
Down in Gangyal at Plot No. 46, Phase III, that’s where Ironart Industries is set up. We’ve been working out of this spot for a good bit of time. The area is pretty industrial, which suits the kind of work we do with iron and metal. It’s a straightforward shop floor. Nothing is overly polished here; we mostly have dust on our boots and grease on our hands by noon. We spend most of our hours cutting, bending, or welding whatever needs to be finished for the week. The layout of the plot is simple, and we’ve made it work for our needs as we grew. You can usually hear the sound of the hammers from the street. Gangyal is a busy part of town, especially in Phase III where everyone is making something. We don’t really do fancy presentations. Usually, it’s just us discussing the next batch of work over a cup of tea before getting back to the machines. If you come by, you’ll see the stacks of raw materials waiting to be processed. We try to keep things organized, but a working shop is always a bit messy. It’s just how we operate. We’ve got a small crew that knows the equipment inside and out. We stay busy and don't spend much time worrying about how the front office looks. It's just a regular iron shop doing regular daily work.
