If you go to H. No 70/1 in Sanjay Nagar, you’ll find us. Kingston Steels is basically a yard and a small office where we deal with all things metal. Sanjay Nagar is a regular neighborhood, so we try not to be too loud, but steel is a noisy business. There are always trucks pulling up or leaving, and the sound of metal clanging is just part of the background here. We have stacks of rods and sheets that we have to keep organized, though sometimes it looks a bit chaotic to an outsider. It’s a lot of manual labor, loading and unloading, and checking the weight of things. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, so we usually take a break when it gets too hot. Most of us have been working with steel for a long time, so we know the difference between grades just by looking at them. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to make us look big. It’s just a local operation. People from around the area know where we are if they need something for a construction project or a small repair. We just write down orders in our ledgers and make sure the deliveries go out to the right addresses. It is simple work, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday without much of a fuss.
