Indian Steel Wire Products

Down at Plot No. 120 in Gangyal, we have our setup for Indian Steel Wire Products. It’s in Phase-2 of the Industrial Area, which is where most of the heavy work happens in this town. We’ve got machines running most of the day making different types of wire. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we are used to it. The floor is usually covered in coils and offcuts. We started small and just stayed here because the location works for the trucks. Gangyal has changed a lot over the years, but we’ve kept doing the same thing. The guys in the back know the machines better than anyone. They can tell if something is off just by the sound it makes. We handle a lot of orders for construction and fencing. It’s a lot of manual work, moving rolls of wire around. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, you just walk in and someone from the floor will help you out. We keep our records in big ledgers and try to stay on top of the stock. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that’s when we take a break. Otherwise, it’s just pulling wire and checking the gauges. We try to be fair with everyone who comes through the door. It’s just honest work in a dusty part of town.
