Swapner Disha Farmers Agro Producer Company Limited is based in the Madhyapara area of Bairatiguri. We are way up in the Jalpaiguri district, near Dhupguri. The company is run through the house of Kunal Mondal, so it’s a very local, home-grown kind of thing. We aren't some distant corporation with a tall building. We are just farmers and local people who decided to join up so we could have a better chance in the market. Being in North Bengal, we have our own way of doing things, and the weather here is quite different from the south. We focus on our local crops and try to help each other out. It's not always easy keeping everyone on the same page, but we make it work. The office is basically where we meet to talk about our plans and how to get our produce to the right buyers. We don't use big words or fancy talk because that's not how we live. We just want to make sure the farmers in Madhyapara get a fair deal. It’s a quiet village life for the most part, until it’s time to move the harvest. We stay busy with the paperwork and the physical work too. We are just a group of regular people from Bairatiguri trying to make a go of it. Our goal isn't to be famous or huge, just to be useful to our neighbors and families.
