Dhapganj Tea & Agro Private Limited

We are over here in Purba Baruapara, which is a quiet part of Garalbari in Jalpaiguri. It is mostly just us and the green fields. We started Dhapganj Tea & Agro Private Limited because this is what people do around here. The soil is good for tea and we spend most of our mornings checking on the plants. If you come by the P.O. Dhapganj area, you’ll find us at Siddhi Roy’s place. It isn't a big fancy office or anything like that. It is just a building where we keep our papers and talk about the weather. Some days the rain is too much and we just sit and wait it out. Other days the sun is bright and we are out there for hours. We deal with the tea leaves and whatever else the season brings. Living in North Bengal means you get used to the damp air and the way things grow slow. We don't have a big marketing team. It is just a few of us making sure the tea gets sorted. People know us in the village as the tea folks. We try to keep things simple and honest. Sometimes the roads are bumpy getting here but that is just how Jalpaiguri is. We have been working from this spot for a while now and we know every corner of the land. It is hard work but it is what we know. We just take it one day at a time.
