Satyam Granites

We have been here in Bhagali for quite a while now. Most days it’s just us and the stones. There’s a lot of dust in the yard because of all the granite we move around, but that’s just how it goes with this kind of work. The weather gets pretty hot out here, especially in the middle of the day when we are loading trucks. People come by looking for something for their kitchens or floors, and we just show them what we have in stock. It’s not a fancy place at all. We have some big slabs leaning against the walls and others out in the open. Sometimes the guys are busy with the crane, and you have to wait a bit if you want to see a specific piece at the bottom of a stack. It’s heavy work. My hands are usually rough from handling the edges of the stone all day. We try to keep things organized, but when a new shipment comes in, the whole yard gets a bit messy for a few days. We know most of the people around here. It’s a quiet spot most of the time except for the sound of the machines. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out. It’s not much, but it’s our living. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit, but the stones stay the same. If you need something, you just walk in and ask. We’re usually around.
