Digvijay Granite

At Plot No G-221 in the Iiird Phase, you will find us working away at Digvijay Granite. The yard is usually pretty packed with slabs of all different types. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know the trade and how to handle the heavy lifting. Every morning starts with a look at the inventory to see what needs to be moved or prepped for a customer. It is a lot of manual labor, but we have grown accustomed to it over the years. We aren't interested in making the place look like a showroom; it is a working yard through and through. The ground is often wet from the cooling water we use on the saws, so you have to watch your step. We talk to people who come by in a normal way, no sales pitches or anything like that. If a piece of granite has a flaw, we point it out. It is better to be honest than to have someone unhappy later on. We stay pretty busy with the local orders, and there is always a truck waiting to be loaded or unloaded near the entrance. Life here is mostly about the rhythm of the machines and the weight of the stone. We just keep our heads down and get the work done as best as we can before the day ends.
